Visiting  Ladakh in 1982, I was deeply impressed by the pristine, rugged landscapes and the exceptionally peaceful atmosphere. It offered a pure, unadulterated experience of the high Himalayas. The journey took me through breathtaking, rugged, and arid mountain landscapes. Clear blue skies, ancient Buddhist monasteries, and a resilient and hospitable local culture.
